You can try taking birth control pills. They help reduce and regulate your period. I’ve been on them for two years and I have a light to moderate period with no cramps that lasts me about 3-4 days. Before I took them, my period layed me away for a week with heavy bleeding, cramps, and headaches. Definately talk to your doctor about it, they will be able to help you with your options. Good Luck, hope this helps

Not much you can do but get on the pill, try Planned Parenthood. I was the same way, I bled through my first day of junior high. Use a pad and a tampon and use the heavy kind and change them often. Also just be weary of the clothes you are wearing, I say stick with jeans on those days.

I’m in the same boat. I want to take birth control pills because of dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) but for some reason my mum is against it.
Drink lots of water so your blood isn’t as heavy. Change pads every couple of hours. Have a lot of pads with you at all times.
I went from having a heavy period for a week to a light one for a few days. So, once you hit your 20s your period will be less of a burden. That’s my theory at least.
Ask your parents why they are against you taking the pill.

You may want to use both a tampon and a pad to give you more protection and more confidence. I would also keep an emergency stash in my purse. If you end up using any, replace it asap so you’ll always have what you need. Sorry, but it seems that periods run every woman’s life to a certain extent.
peace

I felt the same about my periods when i was a teen to,…cause it would turn-up the day of swimming or any other sporting activity and i hated it as sometimes it was SO heavy i may as well of stayed off school and be permanently in the toilets at home,…just to keep-up with the heavy flow.
It was hard to where my White jeans,…for obvious reason’s! Which is what i had to wear during sport! So i wouldn’t turn-up for school if i was on my period and if it was PE.
When you get older it does get better,…it does regulate and is more manageable,…plus you have more experience of of handling them.
During the teen years i did get very depressed about them and wish i could of had a hysterectomy cause that would be an end to them!,…i felt like this most of the time,…so i know what you are talking about!
Talk to you’re Mum,or go to the doctor’s/Sexual health clinic and get some advice on what could do or take to make them more bearable,…good luck!
